Cell phone coverage was on the decline in the U.S. in 1999, according to the Federal Communications Commission.
But that didn’t stop consumers from grabbing at the latest smartphones to keep up with their cell phone needs.
Here are the top 10 cell phone models of 1999.1.
Nokia 9950, $1003.
Sony Ericsson ZX100, $9004.
Samsung Galaxy S5, $8905.
HTC EVO 4G, $1,1006.
Motorola Razr, $6007.
Samsung Nexus 5, $8008.
Apple iPhone 5S, $2009.
Samsung Droid RAZR, $160The HTC EVo 4G was the most recent cell phone model to make the list.
The $1.100 cell phone cost a bit more than the $900 model, but that was because it included the Droid RA ZR (the top of the range).
The Droid RA is a more expensive cell phone than the Nexus 5 (which is a better phone overall) and the Samsung Galaxy Note II, which cost $500.
The Droid phone was the only phone to make it to the top of our list, but we still think it’s worth picking up.
